This morning I noticed a garage sale across the street. I went over there and met the neighbors. They are very nice and also very interesting. I also bought a table and some earrings.

This photo was taken at Green Lake. It's a lake that really is green.

I'm enjoying getting settled. The house is looking nice. I went to a girl's night in last weekend hosted by someone who lives up the street from me and that was really fun.

Our house is huge and has a lot of storage. It's hard to believe.

It took a while to get up on the net. This is my second day online in Syracuse. I spent way too much time online today. But I did take a walk and go to the post office and get some household supplies. I also made a peach cobbler that didn't turn out great.

I'm in the new house! It's great except there's some plumbing issues like slow drains and horribly leaking faucets that should have been fixed before we moved in. But it's beautiful and quiet. I have a lot of work to do putting stuff away, and then I will be painting some of the rooms. We don't have internet yet so I am using the net at the library.

It looks like I will be finishing this one in my new studio. I'm packing up my paints right now. Actually I'm messing around on the internet instead of packing, now that I really look at it.

Today again, fall is really in the air. It's a little cool. I feel great! Whatever it is in the air makes me feel energetic and happy. I hate summer and fall is my favourite time of the year.

This was last weekend. Now I'm too busy working at Dave's office and packing stuff at home and doing last minute things. We move in less than a week, though Dave will be back here so we don't have to be totally final. It's going to be hectic.

This photo made me happy because I can see the muscle tone in my forearm.

I can feel Fall in the air for the first time today. It's a sunny day and I haven't been outside yet except for the balcony. But there's something in the air, just a little coolness or the promise of coolness. It makes me really happy. Fall is my favourite time of the year.

I didn't get nearly enough done today

I could start just about every blog entry with that. I didn't get enough done today, ever, times ten.

I'm gong to try to spend less time on the internet. I need one of those internet timers like people get for their kids. Do they have such a thing? They should. I need to spend time with the computer off. I am neglecting my painting.

I did at least go to the gym today!

That was yesterday's entry. I forgot to post it. I went to the gym again today. I just got back from helping Dave copy stuff at work. I'm tired. I did no packing or painting today. Just office work and the gym. Tomorrow I think I start on the packing seriously. I keep saying that but sooner or later I will really have to do it. We got the expenses for the van approved from Dave's new work, so that was kind of a relief. I'm rambling.



Lately I've been into making grainy black and white versions of my photos, the way my photos used to look when I was a photography student at San Francisco City College in 1988.
